Not only is this a well-proven configuration in terms of reliability but also 350 cores at the wrecking yard are figuratively speaking nearly a dime a dozen. A 400 crank would need to be ground to fit the 350 block.

The 358 is a 400 bored 030 over and destroked with a 325 stroke crank 325 being the stock stroke for a 327. The only difference is the 383 mains are 350 size. Im guessing this a 350 block bored 060 inch over that is also zero decked into which is placed a 400 crank.

I myself would have absolutly no problem buying a car with a 350SBC Bored 60 over. If you bore a 350 60 over what cubic inch would you have at that point. You can get a 383 crank probably cheaper than refreshing the 400.
